WATERSHED
a community cares for its land

These places form a transitional
bridge between waterway and land.
I am like them – melding boundaries, filtering all, mediating the
deluge, in flux, ignored.
We have a bond, wetlands and me. They share their atmosphere with me,
and
I honor this bond by sharing their allure through images.

Sevilla has been interviewing and
photographing preserve monitors, planners and local leaders; some of
these interviews and portraits are part of the WATERSHED exhibit, which
features approximately 200 images of local wetlands. She recently
completed a guidebook to local wetlands that explains wetland value,
gives maps and directions to wetland locations, and encourages
stewardship of the land.

This project is sponsored by the
Genesee Valley Audubon Society and funded by the New York State
Legislature,
New York State Council on the Arts, and the Arts & Cultural Council for
Greater Rochester.
